Teeez Read My Lips Lipstick

I got this lipstick in the May Ipsy bag and ever since I first saw it, I was so excited to use it because of how cute it looked. The packaging is just incredible. I had a look at their website, and all of their products and packaging look so beautiful. It is so important that makeup looks nice, especially the high end ones because you are paying quite a bit of money. And I feel like it's such a disappointment when you love the product but the packaging isn't cute at all. So yes, in the beginning I was attracted mostly because of the packaging. And to be honest, I have never even heard of teeez cosmetics, and that's why I love Ipsy so much, you get products from companies you never heard of and it's just so much fun to me. I don't like sticking to one product or just one brand, it gets so boring and there are so many new, fun things to try!

So, I don't normally go for really bright colors but this one looked so beautiful, even before I tried it on. It's like a really pretty bright coral, with a hint of orange. When I looked at their website the only shade that they do carry in this lipstick is Killing Me Softly. It is pretty matte, but it's not drying how a lot of matte lipsticks are. It also lasts a pretty long time so you don't have to keep reapplying it every 2 seconds. And it just feels so nice and soft on your lips. I'm loving it this summer. I do hope they bring out more shades because this lipstick is wonderful and I wouldn't mind splurging on a few more colors.

I would recommend checking out their website, although it doesn't look like they have that many new products which I don't understand because they launched in 2004. And that is like 11 years ago. But the products they do have do seem really nice, and they are a bit cheaper than your usual high end makeup.

In cause you wanted to take a look at the lipstick

And this is how it looks on :)

Neutrogena Face Wash Review

I ran out of my face wash and I wanted to try something new, I love love love Neutrogena products and I wanted to try out more products from them. I went for the Neutrogena oil free acne wash and it's a cream cleanser. I didn't read the whole description when I bought it and I didn't realize it was a cream cleanser, if I did I don't think I would have purchased it. When I first used it I was confused and thought it was a lotion because the constancy was so weird. Then I realized it was suppose to be a cream and on my first try I wasn't too amazed with it.

I kept using it though and I did notice a change in my skin and it did make my blemishes less noticeable. It obviously didn't get rid of my acne but it made it less red. On the package it says "results in just 1 day," now that is not true at all and I hate when companies put things like that on their products just so people buy it. You do have to use it for a few days, maybe even weeks before you start to see a difference.

Also, if you have really dry skin this isn't a product for you because it is oil free so it is meant to make your skin more dry. And it does have salicylic acid so that will also make your skin really dry, I feel like this is more for people who have really oily skin. This cream has no scent, and it is pretty plain.

In conclusion, I feel like I have mixed feelings, like it's not bad but it's not the nicest face wash I ever used. I don't like the formula of it but at the same time is works. I feel like the packaging could also be cuter like the rest of their products. But, if you do need a simple face wash and you tend to break out you should try it out and see what you think!

Naked 3 Urban Decay Brushes

So I was looking around on ebay through all the makeup and I came along this Urban Decay set, and it was less than $10... I bought it, but I wasn't expecting anything amazing because I thought it would be a knock off and not even close to the Urban Decay Brushes. I got them a few days ago, and I was amazed. I'm still not convinced they are the real deal, but regardless, they are amazing. I was so shocked. And they are unbelievably soft. I own quite a few brushes, some which were way more than $10 and I would say that these are way softer. They do come in a really nice tin container, that's perfect for travel. They brushes are also pretty small so they don't take up too much space.

You get 12 brushes and some of them are the same. For example, there are quite a few eyeliner brushes. The handles are wooden and they do have the Urban Decay logo. They also have a nice rusty color, and overall they are made really nicely. The only thing I don't like about them, is the smell. They have a fresh paint smell to them. I mean I love fresh pain smell, but not on my brushes.

Three of my favorite brushes are the ones in the picture above. They are also the softest ones out of the set. The fist one I use as a foundation brush. It distributes the foundation really evenly and it's so soft and delicate on your face. The second one I use as a blush brush. All my other blush brushes are too big and I feel like this one is the prefect size, I have a really small face so I can't really use anything bigger on my cheeks than this one. And the last one I use as a concealer brush for under my eyes and anywhere I have spots. It also blends my concealer really nicely and it's also really really soft.

So, if you are looking for a new brush set I would recommend this one. I think it's awesome for the price, and you get so many brushes for the price as well. So even if you do end up liking one brush out of the 12, it will be worth it because even one Urban Decay brush costs about $25.

July Ipsy 2015

To be honest I'm not too impressed with this months Ipsy. And that's the gamble with these beauty boxes. I myself prefer getting makeup over face products because my skin is so sensitive I can't try out new products on my face whenever I like. I need to stick to my routine and if I don't my skin will either look too dry or look like it was burnt. I mean I love the bag (as always) and I'm excited to try out the lipstick and the eyeliner. I got one of the eye liners before but it was in a dark green shade. But these are all the products that were included in this month's Ipsy. As always, this is just to show the products and I'm not reviewing them since I only got them in the mail today.

Hair Care Routine

Hello there! Today I thought I would share my hair care routine and the products I use every time I wash my hair. My hair is pretty oily and it does get greasy fast, it's also pretty think and I do tend to have a lot of split ends. I have tried so many products and I feel like nothing ever worked. I have been using these products for quite a while and I did find products that finally keep my hair grease free for a few days before I have to wash again.

The Products I Use:

Garnier Fructis Shampoo
Garnie Fructis Conditioner
Suave Moroccan Infusion
eva nye volumizing spray
Caviar CC Cream

It's so weird because this shampoo is meant for people who have dry hair, but I have really oily hair and this is the best shampoo I have ever used. It doesn't make my hair greasy at all and I can go 2 to 3 days without washing it, I do use dry shampoo however. So I wash my hair and then condign it with the garner fructose shampoo and condoner every 3 days most times, sometimes I will wash it every 2 days. it is not good to wash your hair every day, don't listen to what anyone else tells you! It's not gross! In the winter I will always blow dry my hair but in the summer time I leave it alone to air dry. But when it is still damp I will use:

This bottle of moroccan oil has last me over a year. I squirt a dime size amount onto my palm and then just brush my hands through the ends only, I don't apply it to the scalp because it will make your hair oily. I have bleached my ends before so this makes my ends look healthy and not damaged at all. I can't explain how much this product has saved my hair. My ends feel so soft after I use it it's amazing. If you do have oily hair don't be scared of oils. If you use them for your ends they will in no way make your scalp look greasy!

Then I spray my hair with the volumizing spray. I got sent this one in an ipsy so it is a sample but I really like it, I have noticed that it does give my hair more volume. I also spray this when my hair is damp all over, not just the roots. It also has a real nice smell to it which is always a plus.

Lastly, I will use the CC cream mostly in my roots. It's a perfector that you leave in and I also use it on damp hair. It makes my hair feel so much softer and healthier the next day. This is also a sample size and I was sent this in an ipsy. This also has UV protection, and yes the sun can also damage your hair, not just your skin. This also works as a heat protector so if you want to curl r straighten your hair it wouldn't damage it as much. I will list all the benefits:
Moisture
Shine
Smoothness
Softness
UV Protection
Manageability
Strength
Anti-Breakage
Heat protection
Light Hold

Remember, these products don't work for everyone as we all have different hair types. You have to try out different products to see what works for your hair. Because one product will not work for everyone.

Weekly Favorites #7

I kinda had an off week and to be honest needed time to myself and didn't feel like blogging, we're all human. Anyway, I'm back with a weekly favorites, most of the products I have been enjoying this week are beauty favorites. They are re discovered products that I haven't used in a while but fell in love with all over again.

Harry Potter Book
When I was younger I never read any of the Harry Potter books, I tried, but I thought they were too long and I thought I would never finish them. Now, I'm 21 and I have the urge to read all the books. I never really saw any of the films besides the 1st and the 2nd one so I'm well behind. My brother bought me the whole collection for my birthday, which was back in February, and I just started getting into the first one. Oops. So I'm only on chapter 6 but I have been reading it regularly, and because I saw the first movie I already know whats going to happen so I think I'll read them faster once I get into the third one, but regardless I still have been enjoying this one.

Oahu Coconut Sunset Mist
I noticed I only use this mist in the summer so it has kind of become my summer scent. I love the smell of coconuts more than anything in the world, so I know this scent isn't for everyone because there are a lot of people who hate coconuts. I don't really know how to describe the scent but it isn't too strong and the coconut isn't too noticeable like it can be in other scents. It is more for the nighttime, but I do wear it all day every day.

Lip Balm
No matter what season it is, my lips are ALWAYS dry, so I always use lip balm or chap stick.  This one is from The Body Shop and it is the Baume Pour Les Levers in frosted cranberry. It looks really red and like it would be pigmented but it isn't at all. it does have a nice scent to it and it does last pretty long as long as you don't keep licking your lips (it is pretty tasty). It is leo moisturizing, the only thing I don't like about lip balms that come in tins like these is that you have to wipe your finger on something after you're done using it..

Nail Polish
I have re discovered this polish a few days ago and have been wearing it ever since, it's not a very summery color but I still love it so much and I think it is my favorite color for a nail polish. This brand is Pacifica and the color is Red Red Wine. The polish does last a pretty long time before it starts to chips. You can use one coat and it is pretty opaque but I feel weird if I don't use two coats. It also dried up pretty quick and I honestly don't have anything bad to say about it. Also the packaging is so so cute in my opinion.

MYX Butter Gloss
I think I mentioned one of these in my last weeks favorites as well haha. But, I just love these so much and this one is in the color creme brûlée. It is a very light nude and it looks so pretty with a natural makeup look. I don't have anything new to say but just go buy them. You will love them as much as I do and they come in so many beautiful colors.

Things I'd Tell My Younger Self

There are times when we wish we could go back to redo something in our past, or even know certain things we didn't know back then that we know now. But, this is life and there is no do overs and we have to keep moving forward and just keep on living. I know when I was a kid I didn't know half of the things that I know now that I really wish I did. I have been through experiences that changed me and experiences that taught me that the world isn't always a nice place and there are people that won't care if they hurt you. I thought it would be a nice idea to create a list of the things I would tell myself if I could have a conversation with my 15 year old self.

Not All Boys Are Assholes (This isn't a joke)
I am an emotional person, so imagine me at 15 and waiting for a boy to text me back, and it turns out he will never talk to me again. I used to be so upset when things with boys wouldn't work out and I just grew up believing boys just suck and they're assholes. I felt whenever I really liked a guy he would just stop talking to me. And then I went through a stage where I just hated boys and if one liked me I would just ignore it. And then I met a boy that I fell in love with and 4 years later he still likes me! And he's not an asshole (well he can be sometimes but what guy isn't:,)) There are boys that are out there that will only want to use you and take advantage of you, but there are also boys that genuinely love you and want to be with you. And if you wait for the right guy and you fall in love with him it will be worth all the "heartbreak" you had to go through will all the other guys.

You're Beautiful
When we're at that awkward teenager stage it is had to look in the mirror and like what you see. So you dye your hair, put on a ridiculous amount of makeup and try to dress all cute all the time. back in high school, I was that girl that would wake up extra early to do my hair and put on makeup because I thought it made me prettier. Now when I look at pictures that wan't really true but at the time I thought caking my face with makeup was a old idea. I'm not saying you shouldn't wear makeup (I still to this day wear makeup) but you shouldn't wear makeup to feel pretty, you should wear makeup because it's fun. You're beautiful without it.

Don't Take School So Seriously
I was such a nerd back in high school, to that being a nerd is a bad thing. But I was told I had to get good grades and get to a good college and get a good job. Because of that I never got the chance to actually experience high school because I was too busy being a straight A student. Now where did that get me? literally nowhere. I am just confused as to what I want to do with my life as I was in high school and going to a good college didn't help me at all. I wish I could go back and enjoy myself in high school and go to the dances and join extracurricular activities. Yeah, school is important but enjoying school is just as important, and remember grades aren't everything and they don't define you. So if you got an F on that one test, who cares? You'll study and do better on the next one. It's not the end of the world.

Weekly Favorites #6

The weekly favorites is probably one of my favorite blog posts to write. I love reflecting at the end of the week what I loved and then getting to share them with you guys. This week the products range from beauty to skin care to just random objects that I really enjoyed. I hope you guys had a nice week and are enjoying your summer!

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
This is probably the nicest body lotion I have ever tried. I tend to have really dry feet so I used this everyday for about 2 weeks and it has helped so much. They stay moisturized for quite a long time. I also like this one isn't scented because I don't like using scented lotion anywhere besides my hands. It's also not greasy which is a plus. There are a lot of lotions that are meant for really dry skin and they are too greasy and don't want to absorb into the skin, but this one is great.

Lemon Water
As I mentioned again and again I have really bad skin and spots all over. I have tried every medication, cream, face wash that exists and nothing really helps. So I heard that drinking a lot of water helps you have clearer healthy skin but I don't really like drinking plain water. So I add lemons and sometimes limes and it tastes so nice and this way I have been drinking the 8 glasses of water that is recommended every day. I mean it hasn't solved the problem yet buy my face isn't as dry but I will continue drinking it for a while to see if there are any further results. It does however make you go to the toilet like every 5 seconds!

Aloe Face Gloves
I mentioned these in a haul a few weeks ago but now I can actually rave about them. These are the softest face wash gloves I have ever felt and they smell so so nice, although the scent does go away after you use them for a while. But they are really nice and gently on your skin. I use them when I wash my face at night with the Tea Tree face wash and I feel like it does the job better than just using my hands.

NYX Butter Gloss
This lip gloss is in the shade Merengue 04 and it is my new favorite summer lip gloss. I think The NYX lip glosses are amazing and so moisturizing, but I love this color so much and I think it looks so cute in the summer although I do use it pretty much all year round. I love the way these smell and they are just so nice, and not expensive at all!

Pens
Haha the most random item on the list. I have had these pens for ages but I only recently because really obsessed with them. these are the paper mate ink joy pens and they come in so many different colors but I picked my three most favorite. They aren't gel pens (personally I don't really like gel pens) but these write so nicely and the colors are so cute!

What have you been loving this week?!

Ways to Stay Happy

We all have days where we're down and nothing seems to make you happy. We're all human and it's normal for us to be sad, sometimes for even no reason at all. I feel like I am not the right person to be writing this post and to be giving advice about happiness because sometimes it feels like i'm the most unhappy person in the world. But when I do have my down days there are a few things I like to do to not think about whatever it is that's preventing me from smiling. I thought I could share them with you and even if this only helps one person that's great and makes me happy! :)

Listen to Music:
This is probably the number one thing that so many people will tell you to do when you're upset and it really does work. Instead if sitting around and crying you can get up and dance. And don't listen to sad depressing song, unless that really does help, listen to some of your favorite songs that make you want to get out of your bed and dance. Just be silly and make the best out of a bad day. Here are some of my favorite songs:

All Summer Long: Kid Rock
All The Small Things: Blink 182
Beautiful Soul: Jessie McCartney
Best Song Ever: One Direction
Taylor Swift: Better Than Revenge

Hang Out With Your Friends
The worst thing when your sad is to be alone. It's nice to have people that cheer you up when you're not feeling like yourself. So go see a movie, go out to eat or go to the mall with a friend or group of friends that you know will make you laugh even on your worst days.

Read A Book
When you read your mind is in a different place, and just for a little while you forget about that fight you had with your boyfriend or best friend, you forget about that test you failed, or the customer that gave you a hard time at work. Make sure it's a really good book so you won't want to put it down and just spend hours reading it. Some of my favorite books are:

Gone Girl By: Gillian Flynn
The Fault in Our Stars: John Green
Looking For Alaska: John Green
Safe Haven: Nicolas Sparks

Write In A Journal
I don't know if this is only me, but writing in a journal makes me feel so much better. There might be things you don't want to say out loud to a friend, grab a journal and just write it down. Write down whatever is on your mind. Sometimes when you write it down and reflect on why you're having such a bad day you might realize how the thing you are upset about isn't that big of a deal. it's also nice to go back to your journal and read about how you were feeling on a certain day.

Eat Ice cream
Or any other sugary filled treat. And just "eat your feelings" away. Although this might get out of hand if you do it all the time, so don't do it often. But you deserve a treat when you're not feeling like yourself.

I hope this helped and it gave you some ideas and remember bad days don't last forever and I know that's hard to remember when it feels like it's impossible for you to be happy. Just find whatever it is that makes you happy and leave behind everything that doesn't.

The Body Shop Scrubs

So like I mentioned in a previous post, I bought a lot of things from The Body Shop during their sale and instead of doing a haul and showing everything all at once without giving an opinion didn't sound too fun. So as I use these items and if I like them I will do a post about each item. And even if I don't like them I can also do a post about why it's not worth the money.

Okay, so in all honesty I have never ever used a body scrub in my 21 years of existence. I just stuck to shower gel and to be honest I had no idea what the point of a scrub was and it sounded intense, why would I want to scrub my body?! Scrubs are more intense and essentially you are getting rid of, or scrubbing away, all the dead skin from your body. I decided to pick up two from The Body Shop:

Early Harvest Raspberry
When I first tried this one I wasn't sure if I liked it because the consistency of it was so weird and it literally feels like jelly. It felt like I was washing myself with some raspberry jam. But I really loved the smell of it and the more I used it the more I liked it and now it feels completely normal and the "jelly" like texture doesn't bother me anymore. It also doesn't feel too harsh on the skin. I believe this is a seasonal scent so if you want it now, get it before they get rid of it! What I also love about it is that it leaves your skin feeling so much softer and smoother, like a baby's butt! ;) One thing I wasn't too happy about is that the little seeds can be tricky to wash off.

Vineyard Peach
This literally smells like freshly picked peaches and it's absolutely amazing. Out of the two I do prefer this scent over the raspberry one. This one is a little bit harsher than the other one, but it does it's job and exfoliates the skin real nicely. And this one is also way easier to wash of as it doesn't have any seeds in it.
