JULEP NAIL POLISH

I have never heard of this brand before but I was on Facebook and scrolled past their website and saw these beautiful nail polishes. I fell in love instantly. They are pretty expensive but I bought them when they were on sale. They dry super quick and they even last a pretty long time so I'd say they're with the money. And the colors are so so so pretty. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Colors from left to right:
Ava, Fazia, Lupita, Logan, Margarita, Nancy

(Just realized they use people names for their polishes! how cute!)

Favorite Winter Lipstick

When I first got this lipstick in a Birchbox I thought it was the ugliest thing I have ever seen and I threw it in my makeup drawer thinking I was never going to use it. Then one day I was cleaning out my makeup and found this little guy and decided to just give it a try, and I did. And I loved it. The color that you see isn't as purple as it looks in the tube. It's a really pretty berry color and if you use it with a clear lipgloss or a little bit of Chapstick it looks so pretty. It is a bit drying if you use it on it's own. I've been using it most of the Fall and now Winter and I'm never judging a product by it's look ever again!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

One thing I love the most about Christmas is the decorations. Everything is so cute and festive. My favorite are the fairy lights. I decided to take some pictures and share what I did with my room this Christmas. I didn't go all out and I'm sure I'll add on a few more bits to make it look even more festive.

Lush Haul

I have heard so many nice things about lush but I never bothered buying anything for some reason. And then I decided to have a look at their website and I went on a shopping spree and went a little overboard. Since it's starting to get more cold out, I have been taking more baths and so I decided to treat myself to a few bath bombs. I have used some of them already that's why they're not whole (oops I couldn't wait)

Softy:
What I love about this bath bomb is how big it is. I don't get why all of them can't be this size. But is also smells soo good. This one is rose and lavender and it just smells so nice and floral.

 Space Girl:
Not gonna lie I think this one is my favorite one. If I had to imagine and describe how space smelled like this would be it. It smells so so so good and it looks so pretty. I am so excited to use this one but at the same time I want to keep it forever!

Rose Queen:
This one is obviously rose scented. It apparently has rose petals inside so I am really excited to use this one as well!

Wizard:
This is one of the ones I couldn't wait to use and I used up his poor head. But it was amazing. The amount of bubble that just that little piece made was crazy! and it made my bath water purple and it was so pretty. This also smells unbelievably nice. It contains tangerine oil which is supposedly suppose to relax and get rid of your stress. Which is always a good thing. It also leaves your skin feeling super duper soft.

ButterBall:
This one is vanilla scented (this is a horrible picture of it to be honest) but is smells so good and I can't wait to use it.

Pink Bath Bomb:
I think this is the prettiest one and I really hope it leaves my bath all cute and colorful.

Northern Lights:
Another bath bomb I couldn't wait to try out. This one was so cool, and it made the bath water look so pretty. I'm really glad I still have half of it left. The purple color dissolves super fast and then the blue and neon colors in the middle take time and it makes the bath look like the sky.

Milani Haul

One of my favorite lipsticks I own is one from Milani. Ever since then I have never bought another product from them ever again and I'm not sure why. I couple weeks I decided to have a look on their website and they have so much amazing makeup I don't know why I didn't have a look sooner. And it's not too expensive. So you're getting a good quality makeup product for a reasonable price. I thought I would share with you the products that I have bought and maybe you'll see something you like.
http://milanicosmetics.com/

This first product I picked up is the brilliant shine lip gloss. I wish I actually read the name before I bought it because it's too shiny for me. At first I thought it was going to be a nude lipgloss with a teeny bit of shine but it's a lot of shine. I'm sure I'll still get a lot of use out of it because I can always put it on top of another lip gloss with color or lipstick. It also smells so delicious and it has a nice consistency and it isn't sticky.

The next thing I picked up was the Glow Natural brush on liquid make up in the shade 01 fair to light. This has pretty light coverage so if you're having a bad skin day this won't really help much. But if you have a few spots left and some redness it actually covers it all up. I don't really like the brush on it because it doesn't really blend it in nicely but overall I love the product itself.

This is the cream to powder makeup in the shade 13 soft beige. I haven't tried this one on yet because I have been having pretty bad skin days and this one looks like it doesn't have very heavy coverage. And to be honest I'm not sure if you put a foundation first or if this acts as a foundation and a powder..

This next product is by far my favorite. It's the natural beige secret cover concealer cream. This stuff is amazing. I thought I loved the NYX concealer more than anything, well now I love this one more than anything. It has really thick coverage so it will cover any spot or any redness on your skin. And it just blends in so nicely with my skin color. I highly recommend getting this.

Last but not least I wanted to try their eye shadows and I picked up the bella eyes gel powder eye shadow in bella sand 02. This has a lot of shimmer but it's a really neutral color and I really like my shimmery eye shadows and this is such a gorgeous color and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

October Ipsy

It's that time of the month where I get all happy because I have new products to try out thanks to ipsy. I am actually so happy with all the products I got this month and I think this may be my favorite bag I have ever received. I forgot to include a picture of the bag but even the bag is so adorable. I'm also happy all these products are autumn-y and it just got me really excited for the cold weather. I have tried a few of the products already, but not all. So I will only give an opinion on the ones I have already tried. :)

I think is one is my favorite. It's the Nicole by O.P.I in on a gilt trip. This is actually a matte nail polish and at first I wasn't sure how I felt about it but I fell in love with it eventually. Since it's matte it's not too sparkly or shinny which looks really nice. And it also looks more like a autumn color which I love. I'm not sure how long it lasts as I only put it on a couple hours ago but so far so good. And can I just say, this dries crazy fast. It's kinda unbelievable.

This next one I'm absolutely in love with as well. When I first saw it in the package I was sort of dissapointed because of the color. I don't like wearing really dark colors but I tried it on and I fell in love with it as well. It's so beautiful and even though it looks super dark it's not too bad when you put it on. This is by a brand noyah in the color Deeply in Mauve. I never heard of this brand before but I will definitely be checking them out.

This is the only product that I have yet not tried. It's the Indie Lee brightening cleanser. I'm actually really excited to try this one out because I love trying out new face washes and face products. ANd this smells amazing. Like I'm obsessed with the smell it makes me almost not want to use it and just keep it forever because it smells so so so good.

This next one is the ayres body butter. I previously already got this one in a different subscription box. I don't really like the scent mostly because it doesn't really smell like anything. But this is an amazing body butter. It dries on quick and it doesn't leave any stickyness.

Last but not least is the skone tattooed waterproof eyeliner. Personally I don't like waterproof makeup because I find it so hard to take if off, but other than that this eyeliner is amazing. It's so easy to put on. I find it hard to put on liquid eyeliner but this one is really easy. And it's also such a fine line. I'm sure I'll get on with this one perfectly.

Too Faced Natural Eye Review

The Too Faced Natural Eye palette is my most favorite eye shadow palette out there. I love how there's a mix between matte and shimmery eye shadows and also the fact that it's neutral colors. I am not a brave one when it comes to makeup and I'm too scared to wear anything too dark or too bright and I love my neutral colors. What I also like about this palette is that you can create a day time and a night time look with just one palette and I think that's really convenient.

 Colors from left to right:
-Heaven
-Velvet Revolver
-Sexspresso
-Silk Teddy
-Push-up
-Erotica
-Nude Beach
-Honey Pot
-Cocoa Puff

Favorite Lotions

I get so lazy to put on lotion unless it's a cute, pretty, fragrance one. I have quite a collection one, as I have been collecting them over the years. Some I have used maybe once (and I refuse to throw them out because I'm a hoarder) and some I use on a daily basis and they have became my favorite. I have decided to clean my chest (it's literally a chest) with all my body and hair products and I want to share some of my favorite lotions with you.

The first one is The Republic of Pink Bliss Perfect Pomegranate Sensuous Body Souffle. What a mouthful. I have had this one for years and years and yeas so I'm not even sure if it's still in date but it still smells nice. I got this as a gift and to be honest I forgot I had it but I absolutely love the smell. I don't even know how to describe it but it's so nice and subtle. It also dries on so nicely and it's not sticky and the scent lasts for a pretty long time.

The second one is probably my most favorite one out of all of these because it's coconut scented! It's the love&beauty By Forever 21 Ultra Hydrating coconut body lotion. Since it's from Forever 21 it was not expensive at all. It also really does hydrate your skin and leave it so nice and smooth. And the smell is so so so good! I get so many compliments about how nice I smell every time I wear it.

The third one is the Pink Chiffon triple moisture body cream from bath & body works. I got this maybe around last Christmas when they were having a huge sale and I got like 3 lotions for maybe $7. So that was a great deal if you ask me. I really like this one a lot because the scent isn't too strong and it just smells really nice. It's a floral scent but it's not too sweet.

And last but not least is the Paris Amour triple moisture body cream by bath & body works as well. This one was also part of the sale. I can't even begin to describe how nice this smells. My best friend got me one for Christmas without knowing I already had it but I have been getting a good use out of them. And I also love Paris (although I've never been lol) so it makes me love it even more.

September Ipsy

Hello everyone! My September Ipsy subscription finally arrived the other day and I thought I would share with you what products were inside it this month. Over the past year or so I have tried out so many beauty subscription boxes and I felt like none of them were really worth the money. Every website would promise "full sized" products and that was rarely the case. Ipsy however, is amazing for the price. It's only $10 per month and you actually do get full sized products to try out which I think is amazing. I'll leave in a link just in case anyone want's to check it out:)
http://www.ipsy.com/home
What I love the most about Ipsy is the bags they put their things in. (Not gonna lie I think it's always my favorite thing to get lol) I think its a cute idea and you can always use it for other things if you don't want to put makeup inside. For example, I'm still in school so I use one of them for my pens and pencils and I use another one as a camera case (because I lost my actual case but I'm to lazy to buy a new one)

The first product is a hair mask. It's called the Don't Despair, Repair by a brand called Briogeo which I have never heard of but I'm excited. For someone who has damaged hair because of bleaching this is going to come in handy and I can't wait to try it out. Now obviously this isn't a full product but there is enough product inside for more than just one use so you can actually use it a few times before you decide if you like it or not. It says it's a deep conditioning mask for dry, damaged or chemically-treated hair. You just massage it into your hair and leave it for 3-5 minutes before rinsing it off.

The Next product inside was a lip gloss called Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss by a brand called Cailyn. At first when I looked at it I wasn't too sure about the color I felt like it was too pale for me but when I tried it on it was actually a very pretty nude with a little pink tint and I actually liked it. It also has a nice consistency and it's not sticky.

This is a closeup of the lip gloss and I think it's a pretty color if you don't want too much color on your lips but you still want some gloss. This one is in the shade 09 basic instinct.

The next product was a NYX eye shadow. I think the packaging of this is so cute because it has a little bow and it's just adorable. I also wasn't sold on the color when I first glanced at it, but then I played around with it and added different eye shadows and colors and it actually looks really nice when blended in. That's the one thing about subscription boxes, you don't get to choose your own colors so it is a bit of a disappointment when you get colors you're not too pleased with or if they don't suite your skin color. The shade is HS39 velvet.

The next product was a brush by a brand called Crown Brush. It's a C476 crease/shadow brush. I actually have too many eye shadow brushes right now so I wasn't too excited but I tried it out and it's a really good eye shadow brush and it blends your eye shadow really nicely so I really do enjoy it.

Last but not least (also my favorite I think) was nail polish in the shade red red wine by a brand called Pacifica. I put it on the day I got it and I absolutely love it! it's such a fall color and I'm obsessed. It still hasn't chipped and I put only 2 coats on and I'm in love with it.

What I really love about Ipsy is that you get products from brands you may of never heard of but some of them are so amazing it really does make you want to look at more of their products. I think it's fun to try out new brands instead of sticking to a few that you use over and over again.

Pickle Juice

First things first (I'm the realest) I love Tyler Oakly and his videos are hilarious. They're a good pick-me-up on a bad day. But, from time to time he makes one of those videos that just makes you think about life and everything. But this video really spoke to me and it really made me think. I do like the idea that it's okay to be selfish from time to time especially when you're working hard. If I'm being honest there are relationships I have with people that feel like a one way street and it sometimes feels like I'm the only one trying. In life you get what you give. But sometimes you can give and give all you want and you don't get anything in return. I know it's easier said than done and I'm working on this myself but if you have people in your life that do only give you "pickle juice" fuck them. Don't give everything to receive nothing. If they don't have time for you then forget them and find people that do. If someone isn't trying as hard as you to keep a relationship then forget them as well.

I feel like this is one of those things I'm going to remember forever and if I am having a bad day or if I feel like someone is letting me down I am definitely going to go back to this because Tyler says some powerful things. It's not a bad thing to want more for yourself. If you're a people pleaser and you give your all you deserve the same in return. If you let people treat you in a way you don't want to be treated; then you will be treated like that for the rest of your life. But if you stand up for yourself and demand to be treated differently people will either listen or they won't. And those that do are the ones worth your time.

September Favorites

Can't believe September is over! this month literally flew by! Sine starting school I haven't had the time to try any new products so all my September favorites are old things I re discovered. A lot of the products here are my old favorites and things I've been loving for a really long time.

In this months favorites I have included a lotion, a body spray, hair oil, foundation, an eyeliner and an eye shadow. All of these are drug store products you can find anywhere.

My first favorite is this coconut water chill lotion from bath and body works. I absolutely love anything coconut so this is my favorite thing in the world. I do have a couple of coconut lotions but this one is by far my favorite because the scent isn't too strong. A lot of lotions also leave your skin feeling really sticky and this one dries on so well and you can't even feel you have lotion on. And did I mention how nice it smells. It's absolutely amazing. This was in their summer line so I'm not sure if you can still find it but I would definitely keep an eye out.

My next favorite from September is the Japanese cherry blossoms shimmer mist from bath and body works as well. I think this is my favorite scent from bath and body works. I love this mist because it does have shimmer inside so when you spray it you glow. I think it looks absolutely beautiful in the summer. It's also not too much so it doesn't look like you rolled around in a bunch of glitter. It also smells so nice.

My next September favorites is the Suave Moroccan infusion styling oil. I have had this for years and it is absolutely amazing. So wonderful. I ombre'd my hair before so the ends are still pretty damaged and this stuff makes it look a bajilion and one times better. I use it every time I wash my hair while blow drying it and it makes it look like I have no split ends. I don't think I have ever found anything that works so well on my hair. I have tried other oils before but I found that some leave my hair looking really oily and this one just makes it look shiny.

This next one is my favorite foundation of all time. It's the Rimmel London match perfection in shade 101 classic ivory. Everyone is raving about them and I don't blame them. This stuff is amazing. I have repurchased this like 100 times. My skin is super oily and I find that this foundation gives a nice amount of coverage and this doesn't make my skin too oily or too dry. And I like how this isn't heavy coverage so it doesn't make my skin look all cakey and I feel like my skin actually looks perfect with this foundation. And also it's so inexpensive.

My next favorite is the DAMS micronized eye shadow in the color black. This is meant to be an eye shadow but I use it as an eyeliner and it's so nice. I put some on an angled brush and put it on and it comes on so nicely. It also stays on all day which doesn't happen very often with eye shadow.

My last but not least September Favorite is the Rimmel London scandal eyes waterproof eyeliner. I didn't know it was waterproof when I got it so it's such a pain to wash it off but it is such a good product. The lines come on so smoothly and it's so dark. I think it's such a good product for a drug store brand. It has been my favorite eye liner since I can remember. I would definitely recommend this.

Tea Tree Blemish Kit

I have tried a bajilion and one different products and I feel nothing works. There are products that help and do take the acne away but then I am left with blemishes and red spots all over my face. I do cover it with makeup and you can't tell I have anything but then makeup makes me break out even more. It's like a cycle. So I did some research and a lot of people were recommending the tea tree blemish kit by The Body shop. This is for sensitive skin and my skin is very sensitive. I also like how it's not expensive because if it doesn't work I'm not wasting too much money. I used just the face mask before and I did notice a difference so I have high hopes for this and I hope I don't get disappointed. I used this today and it left my face so soft and nice. It had this cooling feeling to it and it didn't burn like a lot of products tend to do.

http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4181111

This kit includes the following products:

  • Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash. It is meant to help prevent blemishes and removes excess oil. It's gel based and it doesn't over dry the skin how most oil free products tend to do. It's also very gentle on your skin so it's safe to use every day.
  • Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. Tones your skin. First you have to shake it to "activate" it. It removes your makeup and any dirt that may be on your skin. It leaves your skin matte which is nice if you have really oily skin.
  • Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion. This moisturizes your skin with a light lotion that hydrates your skin and controls the oil on your face. This also helps prevent blemishes.
  • Tea Tree Oil. This oil is also used to prevent blemishes and since it is an oil it doesn't dry up your skin. A lot of products that are suppose to get rid of blemishes do dry up your face so this one sounds really nice.
  • Tea Tree Face Mask. This mask absorbs oil and it's meant to be used once a week.
A lot of these products are used to get rid of the oil on your face. Oil can cause breakouts because it contains a lot of dirt and it clogs your pores. However, not having oil on your face means your face will be too dry and that's not good for your skin either. I think this kit balances it out. It does remove oil however it won't make your skin too dry. I will use this product for a couple weeks and write another post about how I think it's working.

Candle Haul

I wouldn't really call this a haul but I went shopping today and picked up some amazing candles from bath and body works and I thought I would share them. I also went because I did have some coupons to use so I only spent $19 and originally it would have been over $40. So that was a bargain and I'm pretty happy.
This first one is by far my favorite. It's the harvest peach. It smells absolutely amazing! I have it burning right now and it really does fill up the whole room. Also the three wick candles are awesome because the candle melts evenly so it keeps its nice shape even when it's almost burnt out.

The second one I picked up was the farm stand apple and this one also smells amazing. It literally smells like apples. It's beautiful. I wanted to buy more autumn-y candles and I think this one is kinda autumn-y. I haven't burned this one yet but i'm pretty excited. They also come with lids so that when you aren't burning it you can keep the lid on so it won't get dusty or if you just want to have a cute lid on it.

This last candle I got for free because of a coupon and they didn't have the best selection if I'm being completely honest. But this one was the most okay scented ones. It's called the autumn night and it kinda smells to me like laundry detergent.. so it isn't bad but it's not the best.

Just Breathe.

It's only Monday and I already feel so stressed about school and just life in general. It wasn't even a bad day I just tend to get so anxious about school and overwhelmed and I just want to cry. School started about two weeks ago and I already feel so stressed! I was about to start on my homework but I felt like I needed time to just think and breath and not do anything school related. Sometimes we get so caught up in our lives we forget to take care of ourselves. The amount of times I skip meals because I don't have time to eat is ridiculous. And I barely get any sleep at night sometimes. Life is stressful and hard at times but we still need to find time for ourselves; we'd go crazy if we didn't.

I'm not gonna lie, I am most defiantly not the most positive person out there. To be honest I'm not very positive at all. Lately however, I have been a lot happier and I think it has to do a lot with the way I think. I try to not let things get to me and when something is bothering me I reassure myself it could always be worse. We all have a bad day once in a while but it's soo bad to have those bad days all the time. Sometimes we just need to let things go. You can't change a situation so why waste your time worrying about it?

In the past couple of months (almost a year) I have been such an unhappy person. And I know why, but I can't change it. However I decided to just go with the flow and whatever is meant to be, it will be. I'm a strong believer in "everything happens for a reason." And I truly believe it does. There's thing in life we want but sometimes we just have to wait and we don't have a choice but to wait. I'd be lying if I said I don't have bad days anymore or that my life is perfect. NO ONE'S life is perfect. We all just have to learn to deal with our problems and move on and live our life. I got tired of being so sad all the time and being sad never made anything better. All it did was make things worse. We need to start doing more things that make us happy no matter how big or small they may be. Wake up each morning and tell yourself to be happy that day, it really will make a difference (even if it is a little one).

I'm not going to sit here and tell you to be grateful because someone has it worse. Just because someone else has it worse doesn't mean your problems aren't important. We all have a right to feel anyway we want. No one should tell us "you can't be sad" or "you should smile some more." But what I will tell you is to keep your head up because one day it will get better. You might not notice it right away, but it will. <3

Top Five Lip Glosses

Who doesn't love a nice lip gloss?! There's like a bajilion and one colors and lip glosses out there and I just want them all. I want to share with you my top five favorite ones today. I do have a pretty big collection but to be honest I don't even use half of them I just like collecting them. These are all drug store lip glosses so they are all affordable and won't leave you broke:) I do tend to sick to the light pinks and light colors because I'm too scared for bright colors and even reds!

I do have two lip crayons but I'll just count them as lip glosses because I only have two so it would be pointless to make a separate post for favorite lip crayons... These all range from Revlon to Covergirl to NYX.

This first one is the Revlon colorstay moisture stain in the shade 010 LA exclusive. I have mentioned this in the August favorites and here I am mentioning it again because I just love it so much. It is more of a summer shade so I'm not sure how much wear I'll be getting out of it in the fall but it is so good and stays pretty long on your lips and I'm absolutely in love with it. BUY IT!!! ;)

This second one is the COVERGIRL lipperfection jumbo gloss balm. This one is in the shade 210. I really like this and they have so many pretty shades. It is a bit drying so like almost every lip product I always use a bit of chap stick before putting it on. This color is a bit more subtle and not too noticeable but it still looks really pretty on your lips.
Here's another REVLON lipbam (to be honest I think Revlon's lip products are my favorite.) This one is the REVLON Just Bitten Kissable in the shade 040 Rendezvous (I think that's the name lolz.) I really like this one because it has a minty taste to it and it doesn't dry out your lips. Its also a pretty orange color so this one is super summery.

This one is the NYX butter gloss in the color 04 Merengue (I swear they're nicer than the names.) But this shade is so gorgeous on your lips I can't get tired of it. I feel like this is my go to lipgloss and I'm obsessed with it. I love the consistency its not too sticky or gooey its just so lovely.

This one is the same as above but it's in the shade 08 Apple Strudel and i'm equally in love with this one. This color isn't as noticeable when you put it on but it does give you a bit of a shine and it also looks gorgeous.
